Passive House MN Happy Hour

This is Passive House MN’s monthly Meet&Greet (happy hour) where board members and others in the local PH community get together to discuss Passive House and drink marvelous beers.

All are welcome — whether you are Passive House practitioner, building owner, supplier, real estate agent, developer, or general supporter — we hope to see you there!

This Meet&Greet is planned for every fourth Tuesday of the month. The venue may be subject to change but our pursuit of Passive House for everyone will remain!

Minnesota ASHRAE Chapter Education Seminar

The MN Chapter of ASHRAE is partnering with the MN Chapter of ASPE to offer a joint Educational Seminar this spring. The format will include four lecture sessions, each with an ASPE speaker and an ASHRAE speaker, and attendees will have an option of choosing an ASHRAE or an ASPE lecture for each lecture session. Lunch, mid-afternoon breaks, and afternoon social hour with two drink tickets are included with admission. Vendor tables and sponsorship opportunities are still available.

Energy Recovery for a Passive House

     Speaker: Mike Woosley, Certified Passive House Designer, Business Development Manager, Swegon

Passive House is a rigorous, voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, which reduces the building’s ecological footprint. It results in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling. This presentation will discuss HVAC systems for Passive House design, with a focus on energy recovery systems.

PHMN is now NAPHN

It’s official!  Today, Passive House Minnesota inked the agreement with the North American Passive House Network to become its first chapter. This is the beginning of a new journey for PHMN, NAPHN and the Passive House movement in the United States. We are thrilled to join our experienced colleagues and friends in the endeavor to promote, educate and implement the Passive House building energy standard in North America.
